Steven,
By the time you read this youll probably already have your
answer. My criteria for repetition lever spring tension is to have the
hammer fully rise to the point of letoff without jumping. This presupposes
that the pinning is good all around. It wont happen this way if its not.
The rise should be slow but sure. Does this help?

Patrick and all,
Thanks. Spring strength is good. I strengthened the springs before the
regulation began. The rise is still good. This was not a problem before I
made the last adjustements mentioned. Have I just gone too far the other
way perhaps? Aftertouch feels good but repetition now is compromised or
defeated?

Steven: Check the springs. You have to have sufficient spring strength to
get reliable repetition. You may have to clean the spring grooves as well as
strengthen the strings.
