Hi Lewis, I've been using the Sciortino Hand Held Coil Maker (Schaff No. 273) for ten or more years together with the Tuning Pin Crank (Schaff No. 109) and it works great and fast! (three to four hours to restring a grand). I've never tried the Sciortino Insta-Coiler...
