Message: 10 I have been using this technique for 3 years and still have some of the pianos that I cleaned with scrubbing bubbles. There is no ill effect on the strings. I think that anything that would cause rust would do it quite quickly on a clean string. Besides, the Metro vac/blower is very powerful and will virtually blow the surfaces dry. There is almost no residue left behind. Cleaning between the pins is really nice using this procedure. The blower gets all the dirt and foam out and onto the rag very nicely. There are plenty of cleansers out there to do the heavy duty cleaning. The trick is finding chemicals which will not affect the durability of the string, nor cause rusting of any sort. Getting the bubbling solution between the tuning pins area is a very tricky procedure in that absolute cleanup is vital. Tom Servinsky
