[pianotech] What?!!

I have been doing this since 1972 and it always amazes me how I can be misquoted by saying: Mr. Benjamin was here and he completely rebuilt my piano: when I had eased some keys and tuned it.

In fact, I would bet this has happened to another somewhere down the line.

Having said this, I have known Joe for many years and been in his shop and his inference to rebuilding, is no less than complete.

  Joe,

You're being thick. If you want to toss curses around then I'd suggest you know DAMN well that there are so many ideas of what a "rebuild" entails. Grow up. No one is threatening you or even suggesting you don't know your business. What is being suggested is that to say that a piano was "rebuilt" does nothing to tell us what was done to the piano, and therefore makes all the comparisons you have tossed off completely useless.

You're not the victim here, Joe, you're just not providing any useful information. Try thinking realistically about all the pianos you've seen that have been "re-whatevered." I'll guarantee you someone along the line said they were rebuilt.

Get on with it and provide some useful information.

Average rebuild? Man, this is still comparing smoke clouds.
    Ron,
And you want a detailed list? Why? You know damned well what a "rebuild"
entails. do you need to see my list to validate my ability or thoroughness
or???? Why is it you can't just take my word? Not following your insistance
    here bub.
