Take a look at the HHR, by Chevy. The back seat folds down, and creates a completely flat floor. (Most station wagons and SUV's back seats fold down, too, but the floor isn't flat.) When I need to take a grand action home, it slides in very nicely.

I'm interested to hear if anyone is doing their business out of a Subaru Impreza or a Honda Fit. I'm mainly concerned with cargo space. My 5 y-o Chrysler Poodle Cruiser 32. cuft of cargo area, versus the and 22.5 and 24 respectively for the other two. I'm also within reach of a Subaru Forester at 35.5. I also have a folding work-bench 5' long (a keybed leftover from the Aeolian Factory, and sold by Ford PIano Sup), which would only fit in at the temporary expense of driver's leg room. I'm looking at CY models.

I'm actually not looking for other recommendations although I'm sure everyone's delighted with their own car. What I'd like to hear is the experiences of any of youse driving around a Fit or Impreza.
