[pianotech] CA treatment for loose brass bookholders?

I wondered if anyone has tried CA to tighten loose L-shaped screw-in 
brass bookholders in upright music desks?  I've used shims of various 
things over the years, but since CA seems to be so effective for 
pinblocks, I wondered if it might work for this too?
