[pianotech] Workload

How can you make a living, on 5 a month?
When you say Midwest, that must be the 'Wild West'. Just what is the
population around where you are?
I have driven across the US a couple of times, and do remember driving for
extended periods of time, where I saw no one.
I see from Google that your population density is low.
I live in a Province (State) of less than a million people. Unfortunately,
Google doesn't give a profile of where I stay, so I can't compare. But I
don't have a problem getting enough work, and I never schedule anyone in
advance, I just wait for the calls to come in. Mind you, I do have a
University contract, that works out to about a 100 tunings a year.
At 4 or 5 a month, you must be doing something wrong.
You aren't trying to change them all to Linux, are you. That is supposed to
be a joke.
Sounds like you should move, unless this is just a recent happening because
of the economy.
Sorry to hear of your lack of work.

Okay, now let's get to the real world - like the midwest and no
institutions/schools,etc.

What is the workload from the Midwest tuners ?

I'm lucky to do 5 - in - a - month :-(

Even my mentor, who has a quite sizable base and mostly churches, has
had a real slump.
