I think we have arrived at the correct translation of the German regulation procedure, sketchy as it may be. Except maybe one small thing: The backcheck, according to the German original, must be angled more than in a normal action. That, to me, means bent back further and not bent forward as suggested. Regrdless, the distance of the checked hammer from the string plane is what is important, and that is 24 mm. Ric: thanks for moderating this.
