Alicia, Don't be silly with the clean house routine. Dust will be attracted to the oil residue. I will tell you, that right off the bat you are coming across as an amateur technician. I'm allergic to dust so everything is always spotless, which is why i can do this freely. second as i said, i used a tampon (ripping out the string from the back it freates a pocket inside), strangely it leaves alot less oil on the balance rail pins then a regulat cotton ball or felt, or whatever else, i tried...
