Don't be silly with the clean house routine.   Dust will be attracted to the oil residue.   I will tell you, that right off the bat you are coming across as an amateur technician.   If you want to disregard the experience/advice of the List, so be it...

Well Don, if someone cant keep their house clean its not my fault is it....

my piano gets cleaned once a month, fully, inside out, so i never have a problem with it. I'm allergic to dust so everything is always spotless, which is why i can do this freely.

second as i said, i used a tampon (ripping out the string from the back it freates a pocket inside), strangely it leaves alot less oil on the balance rail pins then a regulat cotton ball or felt, or whatever else, i tried...

I just shared my experience and what I've tried with peopme on this list, this is what its for isnt it...
