I would LOVE to see some of my clients replace their pianos with one valued at $3K. And of course, I would always want to encourage such an expenditure. However, in relative terms anyway, there are decent pianos available for $500 to $1000 to replace some of these POSs (pianos, not parents) I run into - again, everything is relative.
