Hello!
Not sure that I have the correct answer, but I researched this some years ago. My findings indicated that the grand was a Hamburg built "C".

  Shawn,

I found a newsgroup called "the Encyclopedia Titanica" which has a couple of threads concerning pianos on board. I couldn't find anything about makers of the grand piano. Someone said that the ship had furnishings from the continent as well as the UK and it's entirely conceivable that it had a Hamburg Steinway or possibly an Erard, although I'd put my money on Broadwood.

It seems pretty certain, though, that there were some English birdcages that went to the bottom that fateful day. :-)

I have one of those burning questions that you get some times. You know, a some what meaningless questions about piano facts... The subject of the Titanic came up to day, and people were talking about the pictures of the wreckage. Someone said the Grand Piano is still down there. While that's good to know, I started to wonder who was the manufacture of this piano? Anyone know? The Hindenburg had a Bluthner grand, but what did the Titanic have. Thanks, and sorry for the dumb question.
