Does anybody have a technique for replacing hammer return spring cords on pianos--mostly consoles, I would think--that have wood flanges without the screw-in center pin holding plates? Is it a better bet to replace the flanges? I would think so, but I think the time might end up being a wash, and I hate to waste materials...besides, if it's a grey market unit, getting parts might be a problem. Any tips or suggestions are more than welcome.
