 From what I've been able to observe of the world, sloppy democracy is 
the only kind there is, a badge to be worn with pride, as it were.  We 
are fortunate that the pianotech list is (like eBay's ratings of it's 
users) for the most part, very successful at being self-censuring.

The defining characteristic of Pianotech is that it is what the

participants make it...Folks who have

tried to steer it where the group did not want to go have been 
corrected

by the group at large.  In this somewhat sloppy democratic process...
