I think Jim has an interesting point when you look at it. Cold calling and saying i"m another tuner is deception, but to say "I'm calling to schedule a tuning" seems harmless provided you add in the question somewhere "Do you have a regular tuner." etc. I did this today. I was on a bus waiting, and I figured I get a call in. The said that they didn't know who tuned the piano. I said that it would be fine to get back with me. I didn't argue the fact that I'm their regular tuner as I am not at the present.
