    Hi Terry:
    All the answers were good ones, you just have to figure out which =
apply and the best one(s) to use.  One more thought:  You might consider =
writing a letter to Mom with choices.  Start with the original job as =
contracted for with prices included.  Then perhaps list an intermediate =
job to make it a good playing and performing instrument minus the =
cosmetic work.  Finish with a bare bones "just make it play" job.  Let =
her make the decision as to what level of piano they would like and =
include all the disclaimers for each spelling out what to expect.  From =
the customer's standpoint they might like to have some choice in the =
matter, and it puts the determination in their laps.  Emotion and blame =
are left out of the equation.  But as others have said, the job must be =
paid for in advance due to recent events. =20
