You can pitch raise without mutes, and it saves me enormous amounts of time. 
I can do a first pass in 20 min. or less.  The spectrum display is just like 
an oscilloscope (there's another fine-grained display).  It also will switch 
to the next note automatically when you stop playing the one you're on 
("timed note switching"), so you never have to touch the PC (when A#0 is the 
same pitch as the A0 you've just tuned, not even Verituner will switch when 
you play the note! :-).  You can try it for free, and can download the
