Hi List, Went to fix what I thought was going to be a broken string on a Kimball grand (70's) and found that the hitch pin had been pulled out from the plate. I tried tapping it back into the hole, but it pulled out again when tension was back on the strings. The pin was bent and had grooves on it, should I replace with a new pin? and what is the proper procedure for this repair. The pin is located at the break just before the high treble.
