Thanks David. Are you aware of the size of the Steinway and Yamaha base 
portion of the front rail pins - i.e. is the base of the Steinway pin going 
to fit properly into the factory hole in the Yamaha front rail? I guess one 
could always drill out a hole, but it would be harder to make a hole 
smaller.

Indeed, that is what I would like to do, but as I stated in my original 
post, "I don't see that the supply houses offer plated/steel pins in the 
Yamaha size." Are you aware of a source for plated key pins for Yamaha - 
front rail = 0.125-inch and center rail = 0.137-inch?
