Guy, and List,

Here's another progress report on my quest for new action brackets. To
survive, every organization needs to have at least one employee who is
conscientious and professional. Some only have one - the trick seems to be
to find that one person.

At Weber, it turned out to be Chad Frye. He returned every call, usually
before the end of the same week that I left the message. He explained that
YC was now handling Weber warranty, offered to forward my claim to YC.

At YC, the quest was more difficult. Throughout January and February I
left voicemails at several extensions at 800 592 9393, never once got a
response. I finally stumbled on Jim Davis, ext 110, at the end of
February. Jim promptly and professionally explained that they have my
claim, want to ship me the brackets as soon as they can, but are prevented
by an injuction which will be in force until some hearing or court
proceeding at the end of March to determine who has the right, or
obligation, to service these pianos. Meanwhile my customer informs me that
she's got more blocking notes. I'm hoping that when we finally get the
brackets, the action will still slide out from under the pinblock. Jim
also informed me that while he can take care of the brackets, only Blaine
Hebert ext 148 can authorise the hours. Blaine doesn't return calls.

Peace

Mike
