Broken Keys Repair

I always use a 1" belt sander and take a little off both sides of the key first.  I use 1" veneer with the grain running with the length of the key and then clamp with the keys from each side using think guide pin rail punchings to make sure the angles are correct.  John Dewey's method was shown to me several years ago.
