I learned to tune pianos while watching the 'real' tuner work on the pianos
in our garage,
where the rebuilt players that my father hed refurbished were readied for
sale.
This as a teenager, and a decade or two later, took tuning up in earnest.
But first , a career as a child therapist,
with a brief interval managing a music store in Brampton,
then back to running a high security psych unit for teens,
a stint with a board of Ed, and then a recycling operation . .

Yikes, no wonder I like the piano tuning gig !
My own schedule, customers who are happy to see me,
pay me to do something I like . .

How many of you are performing musicians . . ?
I had a great time New Years Eve !
