Hi Terry, I had a locksmith shop make up a dozen L shaped pins with one leg threaded. I keep one in the "trunk tools" so that if I need it..it is right there. So far this has worked well for me. For one hour in shop? Plus 15 minutes in the home (X 2 as you have to install it too)? You don't say what travel time is--but if it is urban 25 miles round trip sounds like one more hour. Then there are "shop materials" to be charged for. I'd charge for 2.5 hours plus material costs (cost X 2) plus mileage. That looks confusing--let me try a table instead dampher rod *out* 15.00 Dampher rod *in* 15.00 travel time 60.00 shop time 60.00 Total labor 2.5 hours 0.5 "on site" labor rate =$ 30.00 2 hours "shop rate" =$100.00 cost of L pin x2 = x.xx mileage charge 50@0.xx =xx.xx Sub total =$xxx.xx tax(es)? Grand Total =$xxx.xx At 05:42 PM 21/10/2004 -0400, you wrote: > My question (before I tell what my charge is/was) is how much time >would you charge at your normal hourly rate for such a repair?
