Hi John,

An 1/8" clearance is fine.

The piano will slowly stabilize with the soundboard equilibrating at a
different moisture content.  About 80% of the change occurs in the first
five days.  The other 20% can take an additional two weeks.  We recommend
that the piano be tuned three weeks after system installation.
