Barbara,
I would agree with RicB's directions, with a few exceptions: 1. Hot hide
glue is easier and faster. And is the glue of choice for many
decades/centuries. 2. The buckskin need only go down to the 8 o'clock/4
o'clock shoulder position. Anything more is purely a waste of good buckskin.
3. Leather hammers have been around for 300 +years! <G> It was one of the
first things used on hammers.<G>
