Don't use sharps for hammer height measurement?

Yamaha's ad on the back of the April Journal (step 19 of 37) says you =
should measure hammer height samples at the end of each section.  It =
goes on to add "Do not use an end key if it is black.".  What possible =
difference could this make?  Are they perhaps referring to the =
aftertouch adjustment?
