Skid potential, was Glue cleanup on ribs

Yes, I'm aware of the technique you are describing. This might have some
limited benefit on a piano, but I suspect it would simply create a big mess
of glue on the panel where you don't want it. Benefit/cost would suggest not
a good thing IMHO.
