Bergman 5' 1"/ Roland 5700 MIDI

I just had a call from someone in the process of purchasing a new 
Bergman 5' 1" grand (well, awaiting delivery, actually). The customer 
asserted that "the Bergman is the same as the 5' 1" Young Chang." 
Anyone have further information?
In addition, she has a Roland 5700 which is apparently a digital piano 
(or some digital keyboard instrument) which she asserts has a MIDI 
attachment which she'd like to retrofit into the Berman. I indicated my 
dubiousness about the procedure, but promised to do some research & see 
if it's A) Possible, B) A sensible thing to do, or C) Impossible.
Any suggestions (first hand knowledge or directions to helpful URLs or 
persons).
