I buy vertically cut felt without backing from Renner Germany, and cut to size with a circular X-acto blade. I agree with all the other suggestions about string spacing, height etc. I find a dentists mirror assists greatly in seating split wedges. Alan, I don't suppose the damper socket rail needs easing? Do these Chinese Stecks have individual damper lift capstans for setting simultaneous lift? Mick Danby CMIT
