Sit when at all possible!  Use a long tuning tip, switch tuning lever 
direction.  You ever seen a karate class where they do "horse" stance?  That 
will help your back too.... spread your legs wide, toes pointing front, and 
"sit" lower to get your hand into striking range of the keys.  Great workout 
for the legs too!  I can even sit for the jumbo uprights.

Okay, I'm 6'4" and my back kills me if I do much stand-up tuning (like grand
high trebles). Other than standing in a hole, what do other tall guys do?
