little Bosendorfer pillow?

I think you are supposed to put it between the lid, when the piano is open.

but my favourite use of the pillow is when I install dampers, I use it under
my chin.
Or when voicing, under my elbow to protect my arm for scratching on the drop
screws.

Very nice pillow. Use it and enjoy it:)

I occasionally service a 9 foot Bosendorfer. Inside the piano is a small
padded rectangular thing about 5X8 inches in size with the Bosendorfer name
stamped on it. What is this thing for?
