Beethoven's Piano Question/compass

Most pianos of Beethoven's time had 6 to 6 1/2 octaves. I believe that, due
to the constant urging of the musicians, of the time, more note were added.
As Broadwood was one of the "innovators" of the time, it is possible that
Beethoven's piano had 7 octaves. I feel confident that that would have been
the max. Because it's been quite a while since I read "By Appointment", (the
Broadwood Story"), I don't recall if it said what the Beethoven piano was
and what it's compass was.
