traveling

Sounds mysterious to me.  I will say that I never travel the shanks prior to 
hanging the hammers.  It's just much easier to see the movement of the shank 
with the hammer on.  Traveling does put the hammer off vertical (if it's 
vertical to begin with) so some burning is always in order afterward.
