After the 'first' coat of clear I apply the serial No. with rub-off numbers and 'carefully' hand number the sizes. I then apply however many coats of clear that I want to use. This leaves all numbers with a glossy look which matches plate gloss. Total time.....about ten minutes. My way. Jim Bryant (FL)
