It would seem that the last convention here was in 1986. Now that I am here
I
would love to see it come back. There is certainly a lot to offer here and
you couldn't ask for a better excuse for folks to come to Vegas, (besides, we
need your money). Right now our chapter needs to be completely reorganized.
A few of us are ambitious and I have taken some steps but this is an
extremely
busy time right now. Things should slow up a bit in the spring/summer. We
hope to make some major changes and hopefully become "noticed". Then we'll
show ya'll what a REAL convention is like!!

That was when I attended my very first convention. Randy Potter and I drove
all night to get to there. Arrived at Caesars around 6:00. I was very tired
and asked if my room was ready. It was not, so I told them to wake me up
when it was ready, and went to lye on a bench. Randy woke me and said he
buzed Tom Cobble, so went to his room and crashed until noon.

I think 2001 is at Reno. I plan on flying to get there.
