When I was at Yamaha in Japan I learned they make their own wire and to my knowledge they do not sell it. However, I don't think the wire matters as much as good quality bass strings. The treble wire I use is also the Roslau. Seems to work great. I have also used Mapes Gold in a friends shop and they seem to be nice as well. Ed Tomlinson
