No contest, you win. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.
As far as the plate goes, I can't imagine a move in the cold breaking a
plate, unless the piano is unloaded with the "drive by" technique. If it's
that close to self destruct, it's unsafe an any pitch and you probably
shouldn't be in the same room with it even at skinny dipping temperatures.
I'd leave it at pitch and let the mover's insurance guy worry about it.
