Hi Mark.
If this was your pet dog you would take it out behind the Shed and shoot it.
The Key board has under gone a massive dehydration.
Signs of a very poorly designed piano.
Dont worry the rest of the keyboard will follow the same.
My advise is get out before  you get too committed and obligated
