I had a shaft and head that had gotten loose.  I always had to tighten
the head.  After purchasing a new shaft, I decided to JB Weld the head
and shaft permanently.  Now I use one shaft with good threads to swap
heads on, and the other I use and only swap the tips.  (JB Weld is epoxy
meant for gluing metal together, in case you don't know).
