I have no felt or leather technology qualifications, but as you are right
about wood varying quite a bit in its reaction to varying humidity
conditions, I would also think that the felt and leather would vary quite a
bit in their reactions to humidity changes as the source species, perhaps
age of animal, part of animal product is removed from, etc. changes.
