Are you using too small of an ID tubing? You may have 9/64" and need 5/32".
What kind of space do you have between the tracker bar brass tubing,
you may need the thinner-walled 9/64 tubing for the cramped space.

Why not change the lead tubing as well? Or, measure the OD of the lead tubing,
if it is the OD of your connecting tubing then get the appropriate ID tubing to
fashion a sleeve to fit over the lead and connector.

You can also spread out the tracker bar nipples somewhat to accommodate
the thicker wall on the 5/32 tubing.

Having fun yet?
