Forth pedal

Hello Angelo!

The forth pedal you speak of when engaged causes a
felted bar to block the hammers from striking the strings
but ( when regulated ) allows the hammers to strike
rinky- tink tabs witch would then strike the strings.
This produces a sound that is very small and pleasing
something like a harpsichord. Geo. P. Bent did not equip
the "Concord" with this feature as it was his second line
piano. I always rebuild this attachment as it is such a nice
sound and mechanically works so well.

   Hope this helps,
   Jack Wyatt
