Jack, who invented the S-A piano action? When did it first come out and why didn't some of the better companies use it (like Steinway)? A friend sent me an interesting article (with lots of pictures) on the Hickman grand action. It seems to be superior to the grand action we use today. To bad some piano company didn't pick-up on this action and install it in their pianos.
