Hi Diane,
You raise a very good point, do you think she should work it
off at 3 designer shirts for each birthday and Christmas. Hell, I'll be
eating Pabulum in the old folk's home before we're even.
Actually the story gets worse, not only did my wife participate in
helping to get the piano rebuilt, right down to having the hardware, Nickle
plated.
Our 1914 Heinzman grand will now get a new board, and the full meal deal
this winter. Sister got her piano done, my turn now. Feminine logic. Now
this one is going to really cost me.
So far it's costing almost $2,000 Cnd. just for tools and clamps to put
in a new board. $5,000 for new parts. $3.500 for refinishing.
Now as a dealer, I think it would be cheaper to buy a new piano, but it's
not going to happen.
The first player just cost me time and frustration, the second I thought
I was smarter, but made nothing but Brownie points.
The third piano in the chain will cost money, but it will be the day to
day supervision that I will be subjected to, each time Marie comes to work.
 Now that's expensive. <grin>
