   I think that the vodka would have an opposite effect on knuckles, the
alcohol would take the natural oils out of the leather, making them even
harder. The only thing the alcohol in vodka does when using it to voice, is
carry the water into the hammer. It's the water that does the work, kind of
like a cold steam, but it you try to put plain H20 on a hammer, it just sits
there on top. Actually, I've never tried plain water, but that's what
happens when I try to put plain water on a key bushing. But when you put
wallpaper remover in the water, it zips right in there.
