I am looking at investing in a tool for hanging upright hammers and shanks. I'm just not satisfied with the outcome I had with one of my "learning pianos." Rather than mess up a couple of Chickerings that I own, I thought I'd post to Pianotech for experience. I'm comparing The Jaras Vertical Piano hammer Installer (Schaff # 887) and Bill Spurlock's Hanging and Pre-Hanging Jigs. Has anyone had experience with either one or perhaps both? Thanks in advance.
