The simple economic reason for Petrofs being less expensive in the US, is the 
labor costs. The average Check makes about one-third to one forth of what a 
German makes. The raw materials are free. Getting them out of the ground and 
into the factory and assembling the parts are done by people who make less 
money. That is why the Petrofs cost much less than other brands of equal 
quality.
