David and List, Can we legally discuss salaries? Can we discuss technician compensation relative to the knowledge, skills, time, energy, and responsibilities required and compare that with the compensation and requirements of other professions? Can we discuss what we could do to improve prospects? Could or should the PTG dump its tax free status in order to gain freedom of speech? -Mike Jorgensen David ilvedson wrote: > God that seems like very little money for 3/4's of the year... > > Is this typical of what university work is paying? > > David Ilvedson, RPT > > From: "Ron Berry" <ronberry@iquest.net> > To: pianotech@ptg.org > Date sent: Sun, 1 Aug 1999 19:03:31 -0500 > Subject: (Fwd) Piano Technician Position > Copies to: Jproctor@binghamton.edu > Send reply to: pianotech@ptg.org > > > I am forwarding this message to the list: > > > > Ron > > > > > > ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- > > Date sent: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 15:26:11 -0400 > > To: webmaster@ptg.org > > From: Janet Proctor <jproctor@binghamton.edu> > > Subject: Piano Technician Position > > > > Hi! > > > > After calling the Piano Technicians Guild, I was told that it was too > > late > > to place an ad in the Sept. issue for a position here at the University. > > It was then suggested that I e-mail you and ask to have this put on > > the > > piano tech list serve. > > > > > > PIANO TECHNICIAN: Three-quarter time.
