Roy;
 The frequency of this happening is fortunately seldom enough where it really
won't cause us to starve with an occasional no show...will it?
 Just bill for the call, and forget it..... whether it is ever paid or
not............the money lost is not worth any extra time spent on
'collection' or 'collection efforts' and the peace of mind from not worrying
about an occasional no show will improve your outlook. Use your time for more
productive purposes like calling old customers/golf/clean the
shop/golf.............get the idea?  :-)

ps...yes I get terribly aggravated too when it happens :-(
