Local house piano at a performance center is to be tuned at A440 (
Meydenbauer Center, Bellevue WA).

Biggest problem here is that I must pitch raise and tune for each
performance because where the piano is now being stored there are two air
ducts. One is the air conditioned supply as per the whole complex, the other
is a direct supply from the street. Go figure.

I hadn't tuned this piano for about a month, and discovered, albeit too
late, this alarming dichotomy. Stage manager has been advised and we are
trying to get the duct from outside closed, a Dampp-Chaserer system, or a
room dehumidifier or perhaps all three corrective items in place. Pitch
swings of 25 cents are common in the break area now.
