"A Brief Animal Story"

            Richard,

I thought you might enjoy this dog story which Taylor Mackinnon,
Vice President of the Pacific Northwest Region, gave me to include in my
book, TOONER TALES:

"The dog was just a pup but quite large, nonetheless, very
curious and very friendly. The pup followed my every move, rubbing against
my legs and arms, slapping me with his great wagging tail.
"I was trying to set my A, banging my fork on my knee and
holding it under the keybed as I tried the note. But the dog was all around
me, nuzzling my arm and bumping my hand, interfering with everything I
wanted to do.
"Finally, in desperation, I activated the fork again and
held it out toward the overactive canine. His curiosity did the rest.
Slowly, he advanced toward the singing fork, sniffing and snuffling.
Suddenly--"BZZT!"--the fork touched his nose.
"With a yelp, he fled to a far corner of the house and I
never saw him again that day.
I'd say that was "Mission Accomplished!"
